I am glad you received some much need rest and relaxation. And you are so right on so many different aspects of what you said above. We do need "our time" alone with God not only for inspiration but also for listening and hearing from him, what he has to say to us! You are a great preacher and I like you enjoy the simple life! That is what I have tried so hard to find since moving back to NC from WV..We had the simple life up there and it was very different from here! But God puts us where he wants us at a specific time and place for a reason and we are not to question that at all!! You are a wonderful preacher and teacher! You spread God's word through your teaching and preaching and that is awesome! You have taught me so much more than you can ever imagine! And for that I am very thankful and grateful to God for letting him show me the way to First Baptist Church of Alamance and you and your family and our congregation! God bless you always! And remember, take that time out for "your alone time with God" you need it if not as much but more than others do as you do have a major responsibility to all of the world! God bless you and your family and thank you for your talents and I thank God for your gift of being our pastor!

On the practical side, I would add Les and Leslie Parrot's book: "Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts" I noticed on Amazon that they have now written another book, "Saving Your Second Marriage Before it Starts". For those who've been through a divorce and are getting remarried or have already remarried this book promised to help them avoid some of the problems that plague second marriages.

Excellent post. I can't count the number of times that I've barely crawled out of bed after staying up late on a Saturday night. It's so hard to unclutter our lives these days. It seems like there is no shortage of activities competing for our time and efforts.
